National PTA’s Center for Family Engagement finds programs to review via research journals, news articles and national conferences and convenings. If these programs meet Tier 3/Promising or better levels of evidence as assessed by Evidence for ESSA, they are included in Family Engagement Solutions.

Evidence-based family engagement programs have been evaluated rigorously and found to have demonstrated positive impacts on one or more student or school level outcomes. The programs included in Family Engagement Solutions have been evaluated by Evidence for ESSA and meet federal requirements for Tier 3/Promising levels of evidence or better, which typically means they have conducted at least one randomized control trial or quasi-experimental study.
